We are two kiwi athletes aged 21 who are fighting to bring home gold for New Zealand at the Paris 2024 Olympic games. With active campaigning in the 49er FX Olympic class since 2018, a world title in the 29er class and sailing since 2016 as a team, we believe we have what it takes.

Every week we have several days of on water training our of the Waitemata harbour off the Royal Akarana Yacht Club. We supplement this with strength and conditioning nearly every day. We are also studying part-time at the University of Auckland under the Prime Minister’s Athlete Scholarship; Crystal is studying towards Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics while Olivia studies towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Finance.

Our long term aims not only include sporting excellence but a desire to inspire younger sailors and encourage our key CAOS values within not only the yachting community but a wider audience. Our tagline “making waves” represents how we aspire to standout from others a create a difference. Each ripple contributes to the greater size of our impact.

Our ultimate sporting goal is to inspire a future generation of female sailors from New Zealand by winning gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in the 49er FX in Marseilles, France.
